I just wanted to add a brief journal entry and add some photos to Isabel's website. Please check back often, as I will add more detail about her arrival into the world and her first days at home!
Isabel Noelle Christenson blessed our lives by arriving into this world on 12/24/2007, Christmas Eve Day, at 12:05 p.m., after Mommy's water had broken at 3:10 a.m. and only 3 hours of active labor and 25 minutes of pushing! She was a tiny little girl at 5 lbs 14 oz, 19 1/4 inches long, quiet at first but perfectly healthy and beautiful! As many of you know, we had talked about how we wanted her to arrive any day but Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, but she had other things in mind and we couldn't be happier! She was truly the most amazing Christmas gift either Luke or I have ever received!

- I am a Christian, trying-to-be-crunchy wife and mama of two kids (nearly 5 and nearly 3), who keep me very busy, as well as the mother of our angel baby who was born and went to be with Jesus on November 26, 2012. I also work full-time outside the home so I don't get to blog nearly as much as I would like about my children, but I do what I can!

It's a girl!
We had our 18 week ultrasound today, and were able to find out what we are having! Luke has not had a strong feeling one way or the other up until now, so right before the ultrasound tech came in to do the ultrasound, I said "Now or never, you have to guess what we are having!" He did not even hesitate for a second and said "We are having a girl." Well, he was right, because about 5 minutes later, we heard the ultrasound tech say "You have a baby daughter!" What joy filled my heart to know that we are going to have a daughter of our own! I look forward to the mother-and-daughter bonding times we will have throughout the years together. I hope and pray that she and I can develop that true mother-daughter friendship that will last through joyous times and through trials. Praise the Lord for His knitting her together in my womb back in April. He has known her since before she was conceived, and I cannot wait to meet her!
